After four years as a WSOP commissioner, Jeffrey Pollack resigned last Friday. Pollack affirmed that he was happy because he felt he had achieved everything he was set out to when he started working at the World Series of Poker.
During his time as commissioner, the WSOP participation increased more than 300%, reaching 60.875 players during the last edition. Moreover during those years a greater female participation was registered and the first three editions of the WSOPE in London were also a success.
Furthermore, the creation of the November Nine two years ago, has served to increase the media coverage of the event, which is always very positive.
But in any case, the WSOP will keep on going and thanks to the online poker rooms now it will be easier than ever taking part on this event thanks to the numerous satellite tournaments organized.
